Epic in scope, Age of War puts you in charge of a base defense in a never-ending war. It's time to put on your fiercest animal skins and sharpen your spears, since the Stone Age was about much more than just cave paintings. We have a culture to develop! First, fight with rocks and sticks as a caveman at first. If you can defeat the opposing soldiers, you will gain experience points that can be used to level up your civilization. Unlock new soldiers, build defenses, and survive the ages to prove your civilization is the most powerful of all time! If you don't make good use of your units, you'll soon be back to riding dinosaurs and hurling rocks. 

You get to decide how challenging you want the game to be before you even begin. Your home turf is on the left side of the board. Overhead, you can observe the health indicator. This is what you should be focusing on the most throughout the game. Allowing your enemies to get too close will result in the depletion of your life bar, which will result in you losing the game. On the other hand, the same principle applies to your adversary. Getting to the enemy's base and destroying it is your ultimate goal. Your current wealth and level of experience are displayed in the top left corner of the screen. New soldiers can be purchased with that money and sent to the front lines. The prices of various units vary widely, so choose your purchases carefully. Once you've accumulated enough XP, your civilization can undergo an evolutionary stage. Planning your assault and defense with the soldiers and turrets at your disposal is done in the top right corner of the screen. There are five different eras, each with its own unique assault that can come in handy. Develop your civilisation by the strategic use of your tools.
